Massages We Offer

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is used to relax the entire body, relieve stress and pain, and enhance the client's functional ability. It increases blood oxygen levels, decreases muscle toxins, and improves circulation. This massage utilizes five basic types of strokes: effleurage (gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber), and vibration or shaking.

Deep Tissue Massage

Though similar to Swedish massage, this form of massage uses deeper pressure to relieve tension in the muscles located deeper in the body. Benefits are a decrease in blood pressure and heart rate, a reduction in stress hormone levels, improved muscle flexibility, relief from pain, improvement in mood - and an experience of deep relaxation.

Pregnancy Massage

The main goal of pregnancy massage is to make sure the client is as comfortable as possible. Depending on where the client is in her pregnancy, or to promote fertility, a side-lying position may be necessary. Swedish techniques with light-to-medium pressure are generally used. The benefits of pregnancy massage are relief of tension headaches, lowered stress levels, improved circulation due to a decrease in tension and swelling, and reduction of aches and pains.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is an effective modality for any athlete. It focuses mainly on areas in the body that the client overuses in his/her sport, and can be done either as pre- or post-event therapy. Benefits of sports massage include improvement of flexibility, prevention of injuries, and reduction of recovery time.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a form of bodywork or alternative therapy which focuses primarily on the concept of "primary respiration." It regulates the flow of cerebrospinal fluid by using therapeutic touch to manipulate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. To accomplish this, the practitioner will apply light touches to a patient's skull, face, spine, and pelvis.

Fertility Massage

Fertility massage can be performed to help decrease many fertility issues. Sessions include craniosacral work, swedish and deep tissue massage, myofascial release, reflexology, and muscle energy techniques to help boost the client’s reproductive health....

Some benefits include: breaking up of pelvic adhesions and congestion, stress reduction, and increased circulation in the pelvic area. Sessions are available for both males and females. Sessions for females should be scheduled between the last day of the menstrual cycle and ovulation only.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and metabolism. Hot stone massage therapy sessions promote deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body. The premise behind hot stone massage therapy is that the direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a healing and enhanced therapeutic experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation....

Benefits of Hot Stone
  • Provides relief from pain associated with fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other chronic conditions
  • Decreases pain and muscle spasms
  • Reduces chronic stress and tension
  • Increases flexibility in joints, aiding in easier mobility and movement
  • Relieves pain and tension created by strained and contracted muscles
