Jan has been teaching Yoga and Tai Chi in the Annapolis area for well over a decade. Because of her love of nature, many of her classes are held outdoors, close to the water or in the parks. After years of teaching fitness-related classes, she is now focused on the healing arts of Yoga, Tai Chi and Reiki, offering programs geared towards balance, meditation, and flowing movements which are relaxing and also rejuvenating.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Believing that "balance is the key to happiness," Jan feels that the positive energy received when practicing Yoga, Tai Chi and meditation helps her students and clients attain good health through innovative healing arts, and healing energy through Reiki.
Through meditation we learn how to deal with stress and, in turn, how to cope with our lives. Whether through moving meditation in Tai Chi or seated meditation as in Yoga, it's all good for the soul, naturally spilling into everyday life, making things much easier to handle.
